Description:

Children's Experimental Theatre was founded in 1960 by our artistic director, Marcia Gambrell Hovick, to encourage students in grades K through 12 to find and develop their own level of creative confidence through theatre. Utilizing the disciplines and techniques of the dramatic arts - speech, movement, pantomime, stage combat, period costume, dance, historical characterization, improvisation, etc. - students learn to enhance their awareness, self-esteem and the ability to work with others toward a common goal.
